Getting started, finding your direction, and making the most of Fivetide. The essentials, without the noise.
Fivetide is available on the App Store. This guide describes the current core experience; some system features depend on your iOS version, permissions, and device conditions.
Getting started
Choose your location and review your calculation settings. Check the resulting times against the timetable you follow, then set the prayer reminders you want. No account is required.
The changing horizon on the home page is a brand illustration, not an app screenshot, live prayer timetable, or location-based calculation.
Understanding prayer times
Check your selected location, time zone, calculation method, and any manual time adjustments. Different methods and local conventions can produce different results, especially for Fajr and Isha.
Follow the guidance of your local religious authority when resolving differences. This website does not provide current prayer times or claim that one timetable is authoritative everywhere.
Prayer reminders
Check that the prayer is enabled in the app, then review Fivetide’s permissions and alert settings in iPhone Settings. For ordinary notifications, also check Focus, scheduled summaries, sound settings, and notification delivery preferences.
Alarm behavior can differ from ordinary notifications and depends on iOS support and permissions. No reminder should be treated as an unconditional guarantee of delivery.
Home and Lock Screen widgets
Open Fivetide and configure your location first. On the Home Screen, touch and hold an empty area, choose Edit and Add Widget, then select Fivetide and your preferred size. To add a Lock Screen widget, touch and hold the Lock Screen, choose Customize, and open the widget area.
If a widget looks out of date, open Fivetide and confirm its selected location and settings. Menu labels may vary by iOS version.
Using the Qibla compass
Confirm the selected location, give the compass a moment to settle, and follow any on-device calibration guidance. Move away from magnetic accessories, metal surfaces, and other sources of interference if the direction seems unstable. The indication depends on your device’s sensors and conditions around you.
Offline and language support
Core prayer-time calculations run on the device after your location and settings are configured. Some system location services, downloads, and updates may need internet access.
The app supports English, Turkish, Arabic, Indonesian, Malay, Urdu, French, German, and Spanish. This website is available in English and Turkish.

Direct email support is not currently published on this website. This guide remains available for troubleshooting and will be updated if a direct contact channel is added.
